Bolla Srinivas Reddy is a multifaceted artist: sculptor, painter, Principal of a fine arts college, National award winner, and contributor to the beautification of Greater Hyderabad. Among his many endeavors, he is currently engrossed in his brainchild, 'Swayambhu.' This concept has been brewing within him for some time, and he has kept it alive through his sculptures and drawings, all revolving around the notion of Swayambhu, which he describes as the 'Genesis of a creative impulse.' For Srinivas Reddy, Swayambhu embodies existence itself; it is the self-manifestation of the omnipresent Brahman and the genesis of a creative force and emotive expressions.
 
Reddy's Swayambhu concept delves into various physical and psychological dimensions. One interpretation stems from the Sanskrit phrase 'svayambhavatiastiitisvayambhuh,' which signifies 'self-birth' from a golden egg (hiranyagarbha) or a universal germ. The Rig Veda also discusses the idea of self-manifestation, where the creator of the universe manifests 'Himself' before initiating the creation of the world and infusing life into all things. Additionally, according to the Matsyapurana, swayambhu, as a form beyond senses, entered the egg when everything else was static. Reddy has explored this concept through drawings, sculptures, and paintings over time, consistently featuring the motif of the womb or egg. His creations provoke conversations, evoke thoughts, and offer an innovative visual language, depicting complex pictorial narratives, paradoxes, and satires.
 
In his artworks, the recurring motif of the human head serves as a symbolic representation of the mind and identity. Through intricate layers of colors, Reddy presents a rich tapestry of form, culture, and symbols, offering a chronicle of human activity and thought processes. What distinguishes his creations is his versatility, advanced technique, and profound understanding of various artistic media. The monumental egg-shaped heads, often gazing skyward, symbolize the inception of the core of the world and contemplation of merging into the world itself. Within these heads, Reddy metaphorically configures basic cosmic elements, intertwining the physical with the metaphysical, thus inviting viewers to ponder profound existential questions.
